This site is siick!! wish the diy where back up though just when I decided to get 2 work on my car!
anywaaayss...I just installed a pioneer deck, and gto some new speakers front and back given that the stock ones kinda suuuck!
I changed the front ones, but I have yet to figure how to do the rear ones...the fronts where a breek 15 minutes they where wired in and working..the cover on the rear ones seems as if it dosent want to come didnt want 2 force too much of course:)
if someone could give me a little walk through that would be HOT!
this is for 99 el b.t.w

Yup... he's right... dun even think of prying it out with a flat head... it's pointless... you gotta take out the whole rear deck... i wish i could help... but i need this info too, since i'm doing an interior trim... i need to know how to take out the rear deck!

also dunt force the grill out, because the grill is PART of the back deck. so dunt even tink bout popping the grill, it's not like the front. hope that helps.

yippie!
damn sound finally sounds good!
So basicly rear cover just came off, didnt have to run any wires or anything about 30 minutes total..the damn corner cover/ padding took me 25 minutes alone to get back in place..I almost lost!
DaMN! this whole think lets me figure out how im gonna run my xbox controller plugs into the center console...so
dvd/cd/mp3 system in (alas no scren what so ever)
missing in dash motorized, maybe touch sreen for center console still have my acura head unit in place...plus what do you guys think? should I put one 15 or two 12? (subwoofer) also wondering how hard would it be to install them under the rear seats?
Anyone got the following items they wish to part with?
1)in dash screen
2)2 x head rest screen
3)2 X 12inch sub with box or 15inch with box?
4)what you got??
In june I start the outside work! I wanna paint the car a jaguar x type white??
Ricochet dude! thanks for da help G! u kick ass!

Have you got a good alarm on your car yet?
cuz you'll really need one!
I only had an alright deck in my car... it was only in my car for less than 3 months and it's stolen.... i regret not installing an alarm before doing my interior!

if so... i'm still far from done!
I still hafta order my white shiftknob, white shiftboot... white ebrake handle, and white ebrake boot!! and a euro dash! after that... i'll take pictures... for now... i'm still painting it... i wouldn't mind sending you some pics of it so far... all the vents and glove box handle and that area where you place cd's is all painted so far... not a bad job for a beginner :)

Pay for your official membership... and you'll get access to the DIY's...
for a sickass paintjob? i'm not sure... the last time i asked someone... they told me it's gost me about 2g's for a decent job!!
and clearing your headlights?
find some experience in your area to help yah out!
for the interior... i can tell you that it's pretty easy! i'm working on mine too!
for all the vents... i can tell you that you can pry it out with a flat head... and the both front grills... the handles and consoles all have screws... unscrew it and u'll be fine taking them out to paint!!

I personally would get the IS300 paintjob if I recall correctly... it is sort of cream coloured... it is basically white, but has a touch of like a yellowish colour to it... I've seen it on an EL before... looked amazing... ever since that day I've wanted to repaint my parents EL... lol
It's called Crystal White I think... although on the Lexus website it looks too beige... in real life, it's VERY nice, and looks very nice on the EL
