a chunk the size of an inch on my sidewall is missing....theres constuction goin on in the area it happened but no signs are posted and the roads are jus covered in dirt and loose rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(
any way right now i got the spare on...tomorrow i gotta drive 40km to skool and then back(80km total)....is this safe for me too do on the spare tire....
does anyone got a junker 195/55/15 layin around they wanna sell?

oh yah, its safe, i think its rated for up to 80km/per hour, just don't corner real hard, or just put the spare on the back

its already on the back passenger....i was jus gettin paranoid cuz onthe tire it says only for emergency, so i could only drive it alittle distance...

sucks that your tire got wrecked though. i hate construction sites

tell me about it...no friggin signs anywere...i was pissed...
at least it was only the stock michelins....i finally got incentive to go buy somethin have decent now... B)

You will be okay for now on the spare, just stay off the highway. That said, you should still get it changed as soon as possible.

It's good that it is on the rear....if it was at the front, there is too much movement if you know what i mean. so you should be safe.

i jus got 2 potenza Re92's(sumthin like that) put on in the rear.
i was on the highway wit the donut on doin like 80 the whole way...things are so much different in the slow lane.. :nod: ......

I have heard of people driving to Vancouver and back of the little donut spare with out any problems.
That does not mean that any of us will have that much luck!!
I had a sidewall on one of the OEM Firestone 690's go out about 200 Km from home one day(6500km on the car). I changed over to the donut spare and drove to the next town to find a replacement tire.
No Luck!
I did my work and then drove back home on the spare. When I got to the dealership to have it replaced($13.14 in wear charges) the rubber sips were not even worn off of the face of the spare!! :woot:
Watch your speed, only run the spare on the rear and you should be OK.
