okay, its driving me nuts and im not sure what to do.

I've got the 1.7EL, and for some reason there's only 2 bolts on the license plate.. at the top, which, when they're screwed in, makes the plate sorta stick back, and when i have the subs on it bounces off the back and sounds like ASS from outside... its terrible

I havn't put dampening stuff along the trunk yet (near future.. ) but im not sure if that'll solve it...
I did put a few layer of brown bread along the back of the plate... but it still bounces.. its just as bad as before...any ideas?

also, anyone know any other especially bad rattle-zones on the car? I've heard the doors are pretty bad.. i dont notice them especially (license plate kinda dominates that...) but yea...

save me

i put some felt pads on the back of the plate so that it actually pushed the plate a little, which stopped it

In the cold winter days a few weeks ago, when I start the car up, big, noisy rattling all around, windows or doors?

Probably from the engine being so cold, rattling entire car.....

Yeah, tape some felt of some sort on your plate rear.

I used some left over sound deadener (when I did my kick's) and put it on the plate aswell as the plastic brackets that hold it.

rear deck rattles like a mother fucker, license plate (use weather strip to tape up the back of the license plate, i did it and it's fine), the rear view mirror rattles, the little lock knob on the doors rattle if up (if u lock the doors u can't hear them), that's about it...

I sandwiched a piece of blue camping foam in between the plate and the trunk, but I think I'm gonna Dynamat it this year.

Hey bLu-2, follow this DIY and it should semi fix the trunk lid rattling problem http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/showthre...&threadid=18504 (http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18504)

jsiu85: Nice link, im gonna try it out.. although im not to crazzy about the socks idea lol
I was thinking of doing the same thing. Putting carpet underlying foam between the plastic cover and the metal rear deck. Fill's up the space moreso then dynamat would.

Apparently sticking those 3M rubber dots behind the license plate is supposed to work...
