Craig!!
Wow, that's enough for it to make sense instead of the TSX! Cool news.

Hi SportEL!!

I hope you're OK.

Based on the information I could find on both the Acura and the Honda websites - it seems as though ALL CSX models now come with leather and a navigation system. The base CSX is called the 'CSX TECH'.

Base price for the Acura CSX 'Tech' is......

$27,490 for 'manual' - $28,790 for 'automatic'.

Base price for the Acura CSX Type S is......

$29,990

Base price for the Honda Civic Si is......

$27,275

When you do the math - it might sound as though the difference in price between the Type S and Si is $2,715.

Not TOO bad considering the Type S comes with leather and a navigation system.

But there's a catch.

The price for the Civic Si INCLUDES freight and PDI.

On the CSX Type S - you have pay an extra $1,395.

A bit of a smoke and mirrors game if you ask me.

So REALLY the price difference between the Type S and the Si is $4,110.

If leather seats, a navigation system and the Acura badge is worth that much more - I say go for it. But I still think it's too big a difference in price. I have to say though - I can't actually sit in the Civic Si because the side bolster 'wings' on the seats are too close together whereas the seats in the CSX Type S are quite comfortable.

I hope that helps.

Craig!!

Don't forget the HID's and JDM Civic styling (if that's worth anything to you, lol).

Thanks for that research. I would definitely still get the Acura then over the Honda, because of the 2 features you and the 2 features IanB mentioned. The CSX styling looks much better than the Honda, and I like that Acura envokes a luxury sport appeal.

edit: That is if I won the lottery, then I'd get it as a beater.

Heres the list of the similiarites and differences. Taken from wiki:
