Acura's 'Smart Luxury' future is confirmed

Apparently confirmed - Acura has informed it's dealer-body that 'Tier 1' has been replaced with 'Smart Luxury'.

This will include....

- a new entry-luxury model [CSX?]

- an "amazing flagship" model

- a line of hybrid vehicles done "the Acura way"

Although no Acura will be RWD or have a V8 engine - that doesn't mean its future has to be boring and bleak.

What is meant by 'amazing flagship' [Acura's words] really gets my imagination flying. Just what could that mean? Do you have any thoughts?!

My guess? A car considerably larger than the current RL with a twin-turbocharged 4.0 litre V6 making 450 h.p. It will come standard with the SH-AWD system originally intended for use in what was going to be the next NSX. All the 'stuff' is there - might as well use it. Right?!

I assume/want their entry car to be another 2 door coupe.

Is the Acura way the screw up the company image way?

They need to stop churning out those stupid CUVs and get something that competes with the M3s and Audis for their 'flagship' vehicle, because the RL is so ugly and no one wants it.

They need somthing that does not look like the Civic.

Seems like their future plan is the exact same thing they're doing right now.
